Meet the High School Principal
WAVA’s High School’s Principal is Joanne Warren. After finishing her Bachelor of Liberal Arts at University of Washington and her Master of Teaching at University of Puget Sound, Ms. Warren taught for 14 years in the South Kitsap School District. She earned her Certificate of Administration from Seattle Pacific University and took her first administrative level job at in Omak. From there she came back to the west side of the state and worked as an assistant principal and principal in the North Mason School District. She coached track and cross country along with club soccer and continues to be active in those areas. Her passion for educating all students brought her to WAVA to work with finding ways to serve students in a new environment. Outdoors is her happy place doing a variety of activities with her husband and her family including her two mutts.
